Welcome to the Dallas Association for Financial Professionals!

We’re very pleased you’ve joined our group of over 200 active members representing the top companies headquartered in Dallas and the surrounding areas.

Our organization started in 1978 and, through our strength, we are able to offer excellent networking and other benefits to our membership, such as:
a monthly newsletter to keep you abreast of current events,
continuing education credits for certification renewals, and
a job board for local employment opportunities

By participating in our monthly meetings and by volunteering on one of our many committees, you’ll find the DAFP an excellent forum to meet Treasury and Financial professionals and to share ideas and questions about current trends in our industry.

What Is Our Mission?


To be the premier forum for the exchange of treasury and financial management knowledge and practices for Dallas Area financial professionals.

Who Are Our Members?


Our members are corporate practitioners, banking and service provider professionals whose responsibilities include decision-making in the fields of finance, investments, services and cash management.

Our members are drawn from a wide range of industries in the Dallas area including high tech, utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas, higher education institutions, financial institutions and other public and private business sectors.

Our corporate members hold positions as CFO’s, Treasurers, Assistant Treasurers, Directors, Managers and Analysts within their organizations, as well as Presidents and Principals of mid-size and small corporations.

Our service members hold positions as Sr. Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Assistant Vice Presidents and Officers within their organizations as well as College Professors and Educators.

What Is Our Purpose?

Our purpose is to offer continuing Treasury/Finance education in the local market by:
Providing quality programs on the important issues affecting the treasury and financial profession
Developing a local peer networking group for our members to share ideas

We meet our purpose through monthly meetings, our annual BigD conference, and member special events.

We develop our program topics from member feedback to ensure current, relevant subjects are presented and member needs are timely met.

What Is Our Vision?

The Dallas Association for Financial Professionals strives to be the local professional association of choice for individuals engaged in Treasury and Finance careers.

Meeting Information

When Does DAFP Meet?
DAFP primarily meets on the third Thursday of each month, February through May and August through November. Most meetings are networking/dinner meetings with the exception of a joint luncheon in the Spring and our BigD Conference in September.

In September, DAFP hosts our annual full day BigD Conference.

E-mail notices, newsletters, our website, www.dallasafp.org, and our facebook page will advise members of the meeting location and speaker for the next meeting.

Our networking and cocktail hour begin at 5:30; dinner is served at 6:15 and our program begins at approximately 7:00. Meetings are generally completed by 8:00.

Where Does DAFP Meet?

DAFP generally alternates our meeting locations between two sites: Doubletree Hotel Campbell Centre and the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre (in North Dallas), however please confirm location when registering for each meeting.

The Doubletree Hotel is located at 8250 N. Central Expressway in Dallas.

The Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre is located at 5410 LBJ Freeway in Dallas.

Mapquest or Yahoo! Maps can provide specific driving directions from your office or home.

Watch the meeting notice, newsletter or website for the selected location for a given meeting.

What Types of Programs Does DAFP Present?

DAFP’s Program Committee is committed to providing programs with content that is eligible for at least one continuing education unit for CCM/CTP renewal each month.

Our goal is to offer our members the opportunity to earn 100% of their required renewal credits simply by attending all DAFP meetings.

Our program topics vary from month to month and are selected based upon member interest and current industry subjects. Our past programs have included presentations related to:
our local, state and national economy, taking a company public,identity theft, white collar crime, and legislation.

We welcome your ideas for future meeting topics.

DAFP represents your profession and your interests in the Metroplex marketplace.

We offer six dinner and one lunch program each year to keep you abreast of industry tools and trends.

DAFP events provide excellent networking opportunities with your peers throughout the industry.

Membership includes registration for the annual DAFP BigD Conference. A locally held, day of educational sessions lead by nationally recognized speakers.

All education programs are certified by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) for CCM / CTP credit.

Local employment opportunities are posted through our website’s job bank.

Our monthly newsletter and facebook page keeps you up-to-date on issues and events.

We provide access to information and resources 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via DAFP’s website – www.dallasafp.org.

DAFP serves as your liaison with the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) on industry standards and current legislation.

DAFP actively participates in the Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations (ATTA) and has leadership in organizing the annual TEXPO Cash and Treasury Management Conference.

DAFP promotes personal development and leadership training through participation as an elected Board member, appointed committee chair or volunteer committee member.

DAFP Corporate partner member organizations maintain a presence with their corporate clientele and practitioner members network with top industry providers.
