Position Purpose
Provide management with timely business, strategic and financial analysis to facilitate sound business decisions.

Customers and Customer Expectations
Key customers include the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President – Corporate Finance and his corporate finance and strategic analysis deputies and business unit management. Customers expect identification of business problems, opportunities and solutions and analysis that is candid, timely and accurate. The role is expected to provide timely analysis of business, financial and strategic questions, as well as impact analyses of discrete business projects or transactions.

Scope
The Strategic Analyst II provides analytical support and coordination of a variety of projects and analysis. Examples include analysis of corporate forecasts, coordination of presentations to the Board of Directors, analytics related to strategic questions or projects, and project role execution or project management responsibility as requested by management. The Strategic Analyst II is expected to take the initiative to identify business problems, opportunities and solutions. Project planning should be organized to meet project deadlines, anticipate problems and formulate action plans to address them.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required/ preferred: BS Finance Related Field, MBA Preferred
Experience: The Strategic Analyst must have a high degree of financial competence. Knowledge of the financial and business implications of general business practices is essential. Previous P&L responsibility and Consumer Business experience along with a thorough understanding of forecasting techniques is preferred. Knowledge of the Global Business Planner, InfoBeacon, and other Customer Development tools is desirable.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Support the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President – Corporate Finance and other members of staff and operating management in the development of business objectives and strategy evaluations.
2. Participate in analyzing acquisition, divestiture and/or enterprise business decisions facing the Corporation.
3. Provide analytical support and expertise to business unit key customers including the Chief Strategy Officer and his strategists. Share key merger and acquisition, and corporate finance concepts with business unit customers, possibly as training, as opportunities arise.
4. Provide support to senior team members in Corporate Finance in analyzing enterprise initiatives, budgets and forecasts, profit opportunities and cost efficiencies and mandates, as well as discrete opportunities to advance shareholder value.
5. Ensure application of efficient and effective financial and operating controls within the Corporation. Promote sound internal control programs and support the Corporation’s requirement for strong central financial control by reporting, to the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, whenever Corporate Financial Policies or instructions are not being followed or appear inappropriate, inadequate or out-of-date.
6. Demonstrate a commitment to quality performance through personal example by adopting a customer-based approach to business support, personal demonstration of Kimberly-Clark’s leadership principles and being an effective member of the Corporation’s Finance leadership team.

JOB SUMMARY
 
The Treasury Analyst prepares quantitative analysis of corporate and delinquency advances and provides this information to management team. Monitors risk, analyze positions related to advances pledged to facilities. Assists other analysts in researching advance related problems or issues impacting facilities. Maintains advance access/sql databases where advance data resides.
 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 
  • Broad knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing and MS Office software.
  • Expertise in Excel: The ideal candidate will develop excel-based risk reports and analytics with some technical guidance. Experience with macros, pivot tables and data structures is a plus.
  • Access/SQL: Ability to write queries is a must as the analyst will need to access SQL Server databases to obtain information and integrate excel front-end tools and reports with the underlying databases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.

Job Overview

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

RJ Byrd is searching for a Sr. Manager of Accounting for a well known global company with its headquarters located in Dallas, TX. The position supports corporate and wholesale divisions and will be focused over the General Ledger. The Sr. Manager, General Ledger will manage and prioritize the team's workload to meet business needs in a fast paced, dynamic environment. This position is responsible for managing three teams of accountants and analysts (totaling 20 team members) in the following: Month End Close process, Overseeing internal control processes, inventory accounting, and working with external auditors. The Sr. Manager, General Ledger will also prepare and present profit and cost center financials to VPs and key management, review and verify account reconciliations & reserve analysis, assign and perform ad hoc projects and requests, and research and respond to inquiries from the external departments regarding their financial activity. In addition, this person will partner with internal audit to identify and update key controls and processes to ensure continued compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as partner with other internal customers to implement, review and improve accounting practices and processes as needed.
