Mark Harrison, North Texas PGA Director

Mark Harrison became the Northern Texas PGA Section’s third Executive Director on June 10, 2011, succeeding Darrell Crall, who had served the Section for 15 years as Executive Director. In 2016, Harrison was named the Northern Texas PGA Section’s first Chief Executive Officer.

Harrison guides the staff of a regional office of the PGA of America, the world’s largest working sports organization in their dedication and service to the Northern Texas Section’s 850 men and women PGA Professionals. As Executive Director and CEO, he directs the organization, marketing, promotion and management of core business functions, which include: administration, business development, cause marketing, communication, education, employment, finances, fund raising, governance, membership, sponsor procurement, tournaments and guiding the growth of the nation's most dynamic junior golf program and not for profit Foundation.

Harrison joined the Northern Texas PGA Section Headquarters in Dallas in 1997, as Director of Tournament Operations. He ascended to the position of Director of Operations where he was responsible for the daily operation for both the Northern Texas Section and Junior Golf Foundation. Harrison's accomplishments with the Northern Texas PGA include: growing of the Section's assets by 126% in his first seven years as Executive Director / CEO; establishing the Birdies for Kids fundraiser that has raised more than $2.2 million for children’s charities in the area; managing the investment strategy of the Deloitte Scholarship Program, a $1.8 million endowment for academic and financial need-based college assistance for junior golfers; he conducts the Ewing Charity Classic fundraiser, utilizing PGA TOUR / LPGA Tour players to generate $4.2 million for children’s charities.
