Speaker: Ollie Chandhok & Rebecca Ayers with Dallas Business Journal

Topic: State of Media/DBJ and State of Finance in North Texas

Presentation summary:

The media landscape has changed dramatically over the last decade.  The DBJ is certainly not immune to these changes.  With the rapid shift to digital platforms accompanied by the rise of social media, the Business Journal has had to learn and embrace all of the various ways to deliver our content.  Our news business has changed dramatically from a weekly print platform to a 24/7 breaking news platform.  This, accompanied by the growth of live events has allowed DBJ to thrive amidst all of the change.  Ollie will talk about how they’ve managed to succeed in a crowded media market and how they’ve transitioned to the new model for media.
